Mermaid Scarf

This FREE pattern is made in the Tunisian crochet style to create a beautiful fish scale or mermaid scale effect. Written to fit a child but can easily be adjusted to accommodate any width or length. This pattern features the smock stitch, which is an easy two row repeat that is quickly memorized and perfect for an on-the-go project. You will need a 7mm Tunisian crochet hook (with a small cable) and any worsted weight 4 yarn. I used 150g/327yds of handdyed yarn from @motherhookfiberandco (on IG). This pattern is written in US terms. While my writing style assumes you have a basic understanding of Tunisian crochet, I have also included a few photos to help clarify some of the stitches/techniques.
