Easter Mousefits

This pattern is for the mouse and its 4 Easter costumes – an Easter egg, a chick in an egg, an Easter bunny and a carrot! The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication. **You will need:** Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used King Cole Cherished DK (equivalent to weight 3 / light worsted weight) and my finished mouse measures approximately 10cm tall. Please ensure that you use the same weight yarn throughout your project. **For the mouse (pages 4 - 8), you will need the following colours:** * Main mouse colour - I used pale grey or cream (approx. 23.5m per mouse). * Nose / ears / feet / tail colour - I used pale pink (approx. 13m per mouse). **For the Easter bunny outfit (pages 9 - 13), you will need the following colours:** * White - for the main body colour (approx. 31m). * Orange - for the carrot (approx. 2.5m). * Green - for the leaves on the carrot (approx. 1.5m). * Light brown - I used basket (approx. 5.5m). * Light blue - for the small easter egg (approx. 3m). **For the carrot outfit (pages 13 - 14), you will need the following colours:** * Orange - for the main body colour & hat base (approx. 12.5m). * Green - for the leaves on the hat (approx. 1.5m). **For the chick in an egg outfit (pages 15 - 17), you will need the following colours:** * White - for the egg section (approx. 11.5m). * Yellow - for the chick’s body, wings and hat base (approx. 22.5m). * Orange - for the beak and feet covers (approx. 5m). **For the Easter egg outfit (pages 18 - 19), you will need the following colours:** * Blue - for the egg section (approx. 25.5m). * Yellow - for the egg section and embroidered details (approx. 21m). Please Note = The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice. **You will also need:** * A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook. * A pair of 6mm black safety eyes per mouse. * Some toy stuffing. * Small amounts of black finer yarn or thread for adding the details to the mouse’s face (this step is optional), and to the hat on the chick in an egg outfit. * Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers. **You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself.
