Welcome to the heirloom Everlight Veil. This romantic treasure is made to coordinate with my Everlight gown pattern which is also available here on the site.
Created using a fine sport weight cotton, something like Ice Yarns Camilla cotton or Sheepjes Catona, this veil is light weight and a lace dream. You will need intermediate crochet skills. The pattern is a repeating lace pattern for the main panel and Irish crochet floral accents.
You will need about 410 yards of yarn to create as shown. You will also need (2) hair combs and I have linked the specific ones that hold very well within. A G(4mm) hook is used for the bulk of the pattern and then a C and I are used for accents. You will additionally need beads that have a hole large enough to pass the yarn through in the following sizes and counts: (16) 6mm, (8) 10mm, and (5) 14mm. You can expect to secure it with bobby pins if your hair is quite thick or thin for extra security. The veil will need blocked to open the lace patterning and that is included how to do so and requires non-rusting pins and a surface you can pin to
The pattern is in the English language only and uses standard US crochet terminology. The pattern is written line by line and does not include a full photo tutorial, however there are 23 photos to show specifics and assembly. The pattern is fully tested by a skilled crochet testing team so the pattern will be enjoyable and error free. You will need to be able to identify stitches for proper placement throughout. The pattern is in 11pt standard font with a non-decorated background. It is 13 pages long and in standard up to date PDF format for easy download.
The finished main panel is 21” x 23”, when placed about mid-way up the back of the head assembled, the veil drape and total length is about 25”.
The pattern is an original copyrighted design by myself Stephanie Pokorny/Crochetverse TM and is my sole intellectual property. You, the original pattern purchaser, may sell the completed items, that you make. You may not alter the pattern a little or a lot or pull components in efforts to offer it as your own pattern free or paid. You may not film, record, or share any part of the pattern itself or the crochet process for any platform or media. These designs take an inordinate amount of time to perfect and offer and I deeply thank you for respecting the hard work that goes into pattern writing and design so I may continue.
