Pomporoo Bonnet

Pomporoo Bonnet combines the warmth of a bomber hat with the neck coverage of a bonnet. Ear flaps with tie closures keep the wind out, while the extended back panel provides extra warmth on cold days. The ear/cheek panels are shaped with short rows to create an anatomical, fitted drape that hugs the face and ears naturally. Worked seamlessly from the top down, the crown is shaped with increases in the round. After working straight sides to eyebrow level, stitches for the face opening are bound off and the back section (ear/cheek panels + nape panel) continues as one piece. Edge decreases create a smooth curve from face opening to ear panels, then short row shaping adds dimension to the ear/cheek panels. I-cord edging and ties are worked separately.
