Billy The Puppet SAW Mitts

Billy The Puppet fingerless mitts are knit in the round from the bottom up and include shaped thumb gussets, duplicate stitch, and Latvian Braids. Pattern can be worked using a long circular needle for Magic Loop or with double-pointed needles. The mitts contain long floats, so be sure to “catch” the yarn frequently on back of work. Size is about a women’s medium at a gauge of 9 stitches/inch. The hand circumference measures at 7.5 inches and the wrist circumference at 6 2/3 inches. Sizing can be adjusted by modifying the gauge by changing needle sizes. At a gauge of 8 stitches/inch, the hand and wrist circumferences would be about 8.5 and 7.5 inches respectively. Knit a swatch to determine your desired gauge. Mitts are approximately 7 inches long.
