***This and [all my other patterns/ebooks][1] are 25% off - no code needed - through the end of Sunday, 2/15 (PST). All proceeds from the sale period will be donated to the [Women's Foundation of Minnesota Immigrant Rapid Response Fund][2] (I will cover the PayPal fees).*** **The pattern is currently with my tech editor - I will release an update as soon as I'm able to incorporate her edits!** **Find yarn for this shawl at [Greenwood Fiberworks.com][3]!** I consider the Beeblossom Shawl to be the sophisticated older cousin of my Helia Shawl design, which has long been a favorite in the Greenwood Fiberworks booth. Knit at a large gauge with fingering weight wool and laceweight mohair/silk held together, the shawl shares Helia’s very wearable shape from extra edge increases, but with additional size and fluffy fabric. A touch of pretty lace elevates the lower edge. Beeblossom works up quickly and would make a special gift (after you’ve made one for yourself, of course!). **This pattern contains both fully charted and written instructions. ** **Recommended Yarn:** Greenwood Fiberworks Simply Sock, **one skein** — 75% superwash Merino / 25% nylon — 463 yds (423 m) per 100 g. Shown in colorway Blossom Semi-Solid. Greenwood Fiberworks Fine Fluff, **one skein** — 72% kid mohair / 28% silk — 459 yds (420 m) per 100 g. Shown in colorway Blossom Semi-Solid. ***Pattern uses yarns held double-stranded throughout, approximately 459 yds (420 m) in total (including a 10% cushion for gauge differences). *** **Sizing:** 60” (152 cm) across and 25” (64 cm) deep. **Blocked Gauge:** 16 sts and 22 rows to 4” (10 cm) in stockinette st, knit on smaller needle. **Needles:** US 8 (5 mm) circular needle (or size that gives gauge) in a 32” (80 cm) length, plus a US 9 (5.5 mm) needle (or one size larger than main needle) for bind-off. *PLEASE NOTE: I actually knit the sample with a US 9 (5.5 mm) needle and a US 10 (6 mm) for the bind-off, but as I tend to knit fairly tightly, I’ve listed needles one size smaller. Changes in gauge will affect finished size, look of motifs, and amount of yarn used. To meet these dimensions and to ensure enough yarn, be certain to use needle size that gives gauge.* **Other Materials:** Two stitch markers, tapestry needle. ***Many thanks to Carolyn of Greenwood Fiberworks for her support! This pattern has been professionally tech edited by Lisa Beth Houchins (Meanest Mommy Knits).*** [1]: https://www.ravelry.com/designers/katy-h-carroll [2]: https://www.wfmn.org/funds/immigrant-rapid-response/ [3]: www.greenwoodfiberworks.com
