Silchester Scarf

This scarf could be said to be the grown up cousin of [Striped Scarf Two Ways][1]. Whereas that has horizontal stripes on one side and vertical on the other, this combines the two. The pattern switches from horizontal to vertical on both sides, zigzagging across the face of the scarf and making it truly reversible. Although it uses a relatively light weight yarn, the effect is a thicker, squishier scarf than you might imagine. As with the original scarf, only one colour is used at a time, so this dramatic effect really is quite easy, all you need to be able to do is count to 4! **Size** One size - 9"/23cm by 60"/152cm, though can easily be altered in both directions. **Yarn Requirements** 2 x 100g 4ply/fingering weight yarn in contrasting colours. You could easily use a different weight yarn, though it would alter the size of the scarf. At least one of my testers chose to use DK rather than 4ply, which worked out very well. The sample used Fyberspates Vivacious 4ply in * C1 – Smokey Joe * C2 – Peach Bellini **Notions** * 3 stitch markers * tapestry needle for weaving in the ends Instructions for the pattern are both charted and fully written out so you can choose which you prefer.
