Heartfelt topper

Happy Valentines!!** **The Heartfelt shoulder topper** is a colorful elongated cowl or a short poncho, however you want to describe it. I knitted mine with a single special Yarnz2go skein, no thinking which color or yarn weight to use next, got to love that. This cute, flirty knit is knitted top down, showing off pretty eyelets here and there, first in the round and later splits into flat knitting, creating a little side slit, making for a more comfortable fit. Easy increases and eyelet sections create a slightly ruffled bottom edge. The pattern is fully written and the blocked size measures 20” in neckline, 10” in overall length and 66” along the bottom edge. **Yarn** A single Yarnology skein, 238 yards in 7 color, texture and weight changes ranging from fingering, sport, DK to worsted weights in cotton, rayon, bamboo and combinations thereof. Stitch marker, marking beginning of rounds. Tapestry needle or crochet hook to weave in ends. **Gauge:** 16 sts and 26 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch. **Techniques applied:** Knitting and purling in the round and flat, increasing, eyelets, binding off, weaving in ends and blocking for best results.
