Oriana Mini Scarf

The Oriana Mini Scarf is an interesting mix of modern and vintage, pairing the on-trend mini scarf silhouette with the timeless granny stitch. It has a contrast-color edging that highlights the texture nicely and defines the shape. The pattern includes two sizes designed for different yarn weights – fingering and DK – making it easy to shop your stash or use a favorite yarn. Quick and easy to make, this scarf is a perfect project for unwinding! LANGUAGES * English (US terminology) * Svenska SKILL LEVEL Easy / advanced beginner. Skills needed: ch, sl st, sc, dc. The pattern uses INC / DEC, and working stitches in the sides of rows. GAUGE Gauge is optional, but a simple way to check gauge is described in the pattern. SIZES & FINISHED MEASUREMENTS The pattern includes two sizes designed for different yarn weights to create different fabric characteristics. The finished measurements of both sizes are relatively close. Size 1 (fingering weight yarn): a fine and lightweight scarf with a little bit of drape. Finished measurements (blocked): 97 × 11 cm (38 × 4.25") Size 2 (DK weight yarn): a slightly heavier fabric for a scarf with more body and structure. Finished measurements (blocked): 109 × 12 cm (43 × 4.75") **MATERIALS** YARN Yarn weight: Size 1: Category 1 : SUPER FINE (fingering) Size 2: Category 3 : LIGHT (DK) (Experiment with other yarn weights, too! The pattern is easy to modify once you get comfortable with it!) Use two colors: - Main color - Contrasting color (edging) *Approximate yarn amounts needed* Size 1 Main: 130 m (142 yd) + contrasting: 17 m (19 yd) Size 2 Main: 115 m (126 yd) + contrasting: 23 m (25 yd) HOOKS Suggested sizes: Size 1: 4.0 mm (US G-6) Size 2: 5.0 mm (US H-8) Or use the size hook needed to obtain gauge (gauge is optional).
