Selma Jacket

The Selma Jacket is a cozy and laid-back jacket that I initially designed as a coat featuring spacious pockets for comfortably warming your hands. This jacket is worked from the top down, seamlessly with raglan increases, and the button bands are conveniently knitted at the same time as the body, eliminating the need to pick up stitches separately. The jacket offers a relaxed fit, allowing room for layering underneath, but if you prefer a snugger silhouette, you can knit it with less ease. Light grey sample shown in Vuonue Unelma roving yarn (100 % Finnish lambswool, 120 m (273 yds) per 100 g) in colorway light grey. 653 (712, 762, 813) (879, 922, 980, 1038) g Yellow sample shown in Cascade 220 Grande yarn (201 m (220 yds) per 200 g), in colorway 4010. 780 (850, 910, 970) (1050, 1100, 1170, 1240) g or approx. 784 (854, 915, 975) (1055, 1106, 1176, 1246) m / 857 (943, 1000, 1066) (1154, 1209, 11286, 1363) yds of bulky weight yarn. **NEEDLES** 6 mm/US 10, 100 cm/40 inches circular needles, and 6 mm/US 10 DPNs for the sleeves if preferred. 7 mm/US 10½, 100 cm/40 inches circular needle, and 7 mm/US 10½ DPNs for the sleeves if preferred. **NOTIONS** 10 stitch markers, two removable stitch markers, 6 mm / J crochet hook, 6 buttons, darning needle and waste yarn or stitch cords. GAUGE 14 stitches × 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches over Stockinette Stitch, worked flat and lightly blocked.
