 A scrap piece of yarn in contrast color, approx. 20 cm / 8 inches **Gauge** 24 sts and 28 rows in stockinette stitch on 4,5 mm / US 7 needles = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 inches **Procedure** 
The mittens are worked in the round from the wrist toward the fingers. They are knitted using the magic loop method, but can of course be worked on double-pointed needles if preferred. Begin with a two-color ribbed cuff. Continue following the chart across the hand, where stitches are set aside for the thumb and a thumb gusset is worked. After completing the thumb gusset, a piece of scrap yarn is knitted into the work, then continue according to the chart to the top of the mitten. Finally, stitches are picked up for the thumb, placed on the needle, and the thumb is finished.
