There are extra charts and make your own charts included! **Yarn:** MC of worsted or DK yarn, 53g/102m (112yd) CC of worsted or DK yarn, 35-40g/70-80m (77-87yd) These mittens are made with worsted because I like thick mittens, but they can easily be used with DK or fingering held together. I used Malabrigo Rios but Arroyo or Cascade 220 Superwash would work just as well, especially if you are a tight knitter. If you are making small, kid mittens, sport or fingering will make them smaller, but you will need to find that gauge. This is best for intermediate-level knitters or at least done some fair isle before. **Size:** One Size - The mitten is approximately 9 inches long, 7.5-8 inches around, but may differ depending on your gauge to make them bigger or smaller. **Tips:** * I do not recommend highly speckled yarn because it makes the pattern difficult to see. * I used 8” circulars which I knit looser on than DPNs, so if using DPNs, you might go up a needle size. BE SURE TO MATCH THE GUAGE. * If you want a U instead of a star in the palm, there is a chart for it.
