Halo Cable Hood

A timeless cable hood / bonnet with long ties, worked in mohair and double silk mohair for a light feel and a soft halo look. The hood is worked flat in a simple, repeating cable pattern. The crown of the hood is knitted first. Stitches are picked up along the sides of the crown to form the hood opening, and ribbing is worked along the face edge. Long ties are worked in double knitting and attached seamlessly to the hood. **Size** One size **Gauge** 23 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm in cable pattern on 3,5mm needles, measured after wash and blocking **Needles** 3.5 mm circular needles, min 60cm (for hood and ties) 2 mm circular needles, min 40cm (for ribbing) **Yarn** 75g Isager Silk mohair, 25g=212m (or any similar silk mohair) 100g Sandnes Garn Sunday, 50g=235m (or similar fingering weight mohair) Two strands of silk mohair and one strand of merino are being held together throughout (3 strands of yarn in total).
