Kara Jorga Mosaic

This mosaic crochet design is based on the image of a horse in motion and was inspired by nomadic culture and steppe aesthetics. With a chart size of 393 × 393 cells, this design is intended for large-format mosaic crochet projects and is suitable for blankets, rugs, wall hangings, and other statement pieces. The package contains four complete pattern PDFs, one for each language, and one additional PDF with preview pages. WHY ARE THERE SEVERAL INSTRUCTION FORMATS? Different crocheters prefer different ways of reading a pattern. Some work almost entirely from charts. Others prefer written instructions. Some enjoy having a more compact format available for large projects. Instead of requiring every crocheter to adapt to a single instruction style, the package includes several formats so you can choose the one that feels most comfortable for you. The chart, stitch-by-stitch description, optimized description, and Linear Numeric Notation all describe the same pattern from different perspectives. INTERACTIVE NAVIGATION Full Edition files can be large because they include multiple geometries, instruction formats, reference sections, and navigation tools. The interactive table of contents allows you to jump directly to the section you want to use rather than manually searching through the entire file. If your PDF reader supports internal links, you can move directly to charts, descriptions, layouts, notation sections, or theory pages. The contents pages can also help identify and print only the sections relevant to your project. REGULAR AND MIRRORED VERSIONS Both regular and mirrored chart versions are included. If you would like to use the design facing the opposite direction, a mirrored version is also provided. STRAIGHT-ROW AND CENTER-OUT GEOMETRY The package includes both straight-row and center-out versions of the design. You may choose the geometry that best matches your preferred way of working or the requirements of a specific project. LINEAR NUMERIC NOTATION This package includes my Linear Numeric Notation system. The notation was originally created for my own work and was later tested by twelve crocheters before being included in published patterns. During testing, participants successfully completed patterns using only the notation, without charts or traditional written descriptions. The results were encouraging enough that I decided to include the notation in my published pattern packages instead of keeping it only for personal use. This does not mean the notation replaces charts or that it will automatically feel easier than every other way of reading a pattern. Like any new system, it requires some effort and a short learning period. The notation is included as an additional tool for crocheters who would like an alternative way of following a pattern, especially in larger projects where long written descriptions can become difficult to navigate. SKILL LEVEL Recommended for crocheters familiar with basic mosaic crochet techniques. The included theory sections explain the geometry, notation, and instruction formats used in the pattern, but this package is not intended as a complete crochet course.
