Widerstands Hat

Widerstands means resistance in German, and this hat was used as a sign of resistance during WW2. Now, it is coming back as a sign of resistance against Trump and ICE. This chunky hat is worked from the bottom up, and knits up very quickly. I was able to finish it in one night even after a big dental procedure! You can either use a magic loop method or double pointed needles, but I prefer double pointed because you don’t need to change the cord size in the middle of the project. I wanted to make this pattern for a chunky size yarn, because I've only seen it available for lace, DK, worsted, and super bulky!
