The Beginner Boho Sweater

This pattern has been made with beginners in mind, you will find helpful hints throughout and the final product is a beautiful drapey boho sweater. It has a relaxed fit, dropped shoulder and is perfect for everyday wear over jeans, trousers or skirts. CONSTRUCTION The sweater is knitted in two panels (back and front) with simple neckline shaping and options to simplify further. You will be doing some seaming and stitches are picked up for the sleeve construction, where you will knit in the round. There are options for 2 different necklines. Worked with 2 strands of DK yarn to achieve the final look. You will find useful links to YouTube videos that I used when making this sweater. SKILL LEVEL - you will need to know how to knit, purl and seam (useful links provided) SIZES include XS/S, M/L, XL/XXL Choose your size based on your preferred fit: · XS/S – finished chest circumference 104cm, body length 65cm · M/L – finished chest circumference 112cm, body length 65cm · XL/XXL- finished chest circumference 138cm, body length 65cm NEEDLES AND CABLES 8mm (US 11) and 6mm (US 10) circular needles 56cm and 35 cm cable (length before attaching needles) Tapestry needles stitch markers YARN - Emotions by James C. Brett (150g, 435m) – I used 4 skeins for my xl/xxl - Yarnsmith Lagoon (100g, 340m) – I used 5 skeins for my m\l YARDAGE - Xs/s – 1,197m - m/l – 1,657m - xl/xxl – 2,117m (Yarn amounts are estimates and based on sample shown. Individual gauge, yarn choice and modifications may affect total yardage. When in doubt purchase an extra skein to ensure sufficient yarn) Yarn substitution: Use any DK weight yarn held double. Ensure you meet the gauge. GAUGE • 12 stitches and 16 rows = 10x10cm square (stockinette stitch)
