Here is a classic and timeless raglan sweater that stands out for its simplicity. I created this pattern for my husband using a new hand-dyed yarn from his collection. ======================================== I am proud to dedicate this model to him, celebrating the DK Canada yarn, made from 100% Canadian wool, spun in Canada, and hand-dyed in our studio on the south shore of Montreal! ---------------------------------------- **YARN** PATRICKNITS COLLECTION - DK CANADA [100% untreated wool (Dorset-Suffolk-Cheviot); 249 m per 113 g] - 4 (4, 5, 5, 6) (7, 7, 8, 8) SKEINS - shown in Slate Blue **NEEDLES & ACCESSORIES** Main knitting: Circular needles of 5 mm (US 8) - (with cable lenght of 100cm (40'') for magic loop) and the type of needles preferred for knitting in the round, a small circumference. - or size required to obtain the gauge. Ribs: Circular needles of 4.5 mm (US 7) or 0.5 mm less than the size required for the main knit - (with cable lenght of 80cm (32'') for magic loop) and the type of needles preferred for knitting in the round, a small circumference. Tapestry needle Stitch markers (8) - one single marker different from the others to identify the BOR. Stitch holder or scrap yarn. **SIZES - 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9)** Final bust circumference: 81,5 (93,5, 103,5, 118, 128,5) (140,5, 150,5, 162,5, 172,5) cm; 32 (36,75, 40,75, 46,5, 50,5) (55,25, 59,25, 64, 68)" with suggested ease of +/- 15%. Choose a size that is 10-15% larger than your actual bust size. **GAUGE** 20 sts and 24 rows = 10 cm (4") in stockinette stitch, worked in the round with the larger needles before blocking. **NOTE** This sweater is worked from the top down and starts with back-and-forth rows to shape the neckline. Once the neck depth is achieved, the rest is worked in the round. Make sure to read the instructions thoroughly to the end of each section, as you will need to increase the front neck, body, and sleeves simultaneously. Stitches are picked up at the end to work the neckband. You can adjust the length of the body and sleeves as required, bearing in mind that you should also adjust the amount of yarn required to make the sweater.
