Jelly Bean Toque

The rows of bright colours reminded me of Jelly bean candies, all lined up and ready to pick your favourite colour. Hence the Jelly Bean toque. The slip stitch patterning makes a thicker and warmer fabric, perfect for windy, wet day. We see many of these on the coast! Knit it in your favourite colours in a sport of light DK yarn. **Notes on Colour Choices** – This hat could easily be knit with only two colours or scraps of multiple left over colours in the right weight. I had 3 small balls of the pink, red and orange wools that totaled to about 55 grams. I had much more pink wool than any other colour.  So, I made up a repeating pattern that allowed for the pink to be predominant. Notes on Slip Stitch Knitting: Slip stitch knitting is colourwork without stranding.  Instead, you knit with one colour and slip the stitches for the second colour. Always slip your stitches purlwise.
