What you need to be familiar with: chart reading, yarn overs, decreases, brioche stitch, short rows
The Lola Blouse is worked top-down with a circular yoke construction. You begin by casting on stitches for the yoke and knitting the lace Charts. After knitting the yoke, you divide for body and sleeves. Both the body and the sleeves are worked in the round. After the yoke, the pattern continues in brioche stitch combined with a five-stitch lace motif.
For the hem and cuffs, you have two options in the pattern: with a 1x1 half twisted rib or I-cord.
To finish, stitches are picked up for the neckband, which is worked in 1x1 half twisted rib. Short Rows are incorporated into the neckband to improve the fit.
Gauge: 17 sts and 29 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches in lace pattern worked in the round after blocking on 3.5 mm (US 4) needles.
Yarn requirements (including approx. 10% buffer): 171, 187, (215, 233, 264) grams
847, 935, (1067, 1166, 1298) meters
927, 1023, (1167, 1275, 1419) yards
Note: The yarn requirements above are the meterage of the strands held together. To know how much yarn to order, multiply the required meterage by the number of strands you will hold: ×3 for very thin lace weight like the sample yarns, ×2 for a thicker lace weight. For example: if your size calls for 850 meters and you hold 3 strands, order 850 × 3 = 2550 meters of yarn. The gram amounts need no multiplying, they are the total weight to order.
Sizes: 1, 2, (3, 4, 5). The blouse is designed with about 5-15 cm / 2-6 in of positive ease. [see size chart here][1]
