The PATISSIÈRE scarf was inspired by my love for baking. A little play of textures and shapes meant to capture the delicate beauty of a crispy croissant, the meditative making of kanelbullar and the joy of holding a freshy baked baguette. This scarf is knit flat in one piece from one tip to the other in 2 x 2 rib. Originally created to use exactly one ball of cashmere yarn, it’s perfect for MOCHI slipover leftovers – and to wear with it, like a piece of jewelry. ##KNITTING LEVEL## Adventurous beginner. The pattern includes step-by-step instructions, explains the used techniques and includes links to video tutorials. TECHNIQUES: 2 x 2 rib stitch, slip stitch, RS increases (M1L, M1LP), RS and WS lifted increases (RLI, RLIP), RS and WS decreases (K2tog, SSK, P2tog, SSP), long tail cast-on, regular bind-off ##**AVAILABLE SIZES**## The pattern includes instructions for two sizes, small and large [S, L]. The small scarf was designed to use one ball of yarn. It’s about 6 cm (2.5”) wide and 80 cm (32”) long – to wrap around the neck once. The large scarf has the same width and it’s about 115 cm (46”) long – to wrap around the neck twice. The photos show the small scarf on a 35 cm (14”) neck, as seen on a mirror. You can adjust the length of your scarf to best fit your neck circumference, for example by working an extra “repeat” (page 8). ##**GAUGE**## in 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4") 40 sts x 35 R in 2 x 2 rib stitch ##**SUGGESTED YARN**## Cardiff Cashmere Classic (112 m / 25 g) 100% Cashmere, [1, 1.5] balls The scarf in the pictures was knit in the colorway "sudan". I'm wearing it with my MOCHI slipover, which is knit in the same yarn. ##**NEEDLES AND NOTIONS**## Use the necessary needle sizes to get the given gauge. The scarf is easiest to work on two DPNs. I used 3.5 mm (US 4) needles. 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle, measuring tape or ruler *Need help at any point?
