Top Down Sock Mini Zine

A simple top down sock pattern boiled down to the cutest 8-page mini-zine you’ll be excited to hold in your hand and keep in your project bag. Use it to knit a vanilla sock, or use it (as I do!) as a quick reference for when you want to create your own patterns of color and texture, but just need a quick reminder of how to turn a heel or decrease a toe. This pattern provides instructions for two sizes, smaller (60 stitches in the round) and larger (64 stitches in the round), and provides simple instructions for each section of the sock as well as grafting. This pattern doesn’t provide specific yarn or gauge information, and gives only suggested needle sizes because I’d like to encourage folks to experiment with different colors, patterns and textures, and to learn what works best for your style of knitting. The gauge, yardage, and needle sizes above are what I’ve found works for me but are truly only loose suggestions! The yarn listed above is what is used in the gray striped sock. Details of both the striped and holey socks shown in photos are available on their project pages. These socks are just examples of how you can use the framework given in the zine to create your own designs.
