Granny’s Doily

Support Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/345702437625205/posts/1188819833313457/ Terminology: all crochet terms used are U.S. Technique Overlay Mosaic crochet or Interlocking Filet crochet in the round and bottom up. Three size options are included for the bottom-up version. For the center-out version, you can stop at any point once your blanket reaches the desired size. You require two colors of yarn, color 1 and color 2. Since it’s not possible to clearly assign either of the colors as the pattern or the background color in this design, I simply refer to them as C1 and C2. As you may notice, the color that serves as the background in the border (С2) becomes the pattern color at the corners of the Main panel, then switches back to the background color in the central diamond, and once again becomes the pattern color in the Center square. C2 is the color of the last round (or the color of Foundation Row 1 if working bottom up). You can use any yarn you like. Approximate yardage for a full blanket (301 sts × 301 rows, without the back-of-envelope border) made with Sport weight yarn and a 3.5 mm hook: about 2950 m (3226 yds) of C1 and 3040 m (3326 yds) of C2.
