Borderline V neck sweater

This deep v neck jumper is knit in all over stockinette, with folded over ridged edge details along all seams and rib sections. The piece has an oversized, boxy fit and features 2 x 2 ribbed trims. The jumper is knit top-down with a drop shoulder construction, casting on the back shoulder and knitting a portion of German short rows, then knitting down in back and forth stockinette until the under arm depth is reached. Stitches are picked up along the shoulders and knitted forward with another portion of German short rows to shape the front, and then increases are worked to shape the ‘v’ until the under arm depth is reached. Once both fronts are finished stitches are casted on at the under arm and the body is worked flat the whole way round for a few rows until the neckline is fully formed, then it is connected and worked in the round until the bottom of the body. Stitches are picked up for the neckline and knitted in 2x2 rib, then the sleeves are picked up and fully knitted in the round while being shaped by decreases to create a tapered look. The technique to create the ‘ridged’ seams / trims is the same throughout the whole piece. EQUIPMENT: * Recommended needle size - 4mm circular needles for stockinette (I knit the whole thing on 100cm cables and use magic loop for the sleeves, but this is personal preference) * 3.5mm circular needles for ribbing / double knit * Yarn needle (to weave ends and bind off) * Scissors / embroidery scissors * Blocking mats * Wool wash (optional) * Stitch markers (for the neckline, and start/end of round) SIZES: There is an intended 11 inches of positive ease, and finished garment measurements are for after blocking. For busts smaller than 30 inches there will be more positive ease. For busts larger than 66 inches there will be less positive ease.
