Its size is easily customizable, the three samples range from small to large. The shawl is worked sideways with strategically placed increases and decreases so the stripes slant the same way throughout the shawl. The use of **Tunisian simple stitch and Tunisian knit stitch**, combined with stripes, make for an **easy to stitch and fast-growing shawl** “Just two more rows” becomes a mantra until you're finished with a feeling of coming home. The song Two Of Us by The Beatles captures that feeling perfectly. **Dimensions** Instructions are given to work this shawl to your desired dimensions and/or use all your available yarn. Sample 1, largest size, worked in Aster (purple) and Quirky Rainbow (white) Width: 215 cm/84.5 inch Height: 30 cm/12 inch Sample 2, medium size, worked in rainbow and lavender Width: 167 cm/65.5 inch Height: 24 cm/9.5 inch Sample 3, smallest size, worked in red and purple Width: 106 cm/41.5 inch Height: 15 cm/6 inch **Yarn and Yardage** Fingering weight yarn in two colors in similar amounts. The samples were made with two colors each of 100g, 50g or 20g skeins. Sample 1: Colourful Creativity Soft Sock (MC and CC); 80% merino, 20% nylon; 400m/437yd per 100g. Yardage: MC 280m/306yd, 70g in colorway Aster. CC 288m/315yd, 72g in colorway Quirky Rainbow. This sample doesn’t use all the available yarn, testers have used 2x 100 gram for an even larger version. Sample 2: Opal 4-fach Uni (MC) and Surprise (CC); 75% wool, 25% polyamide; 425m/465yd per 100g. Yardage: MC 213m/233yd, 50g in colorway 5186 (lavender). CC 191m/209yd, 45g in colorway 4061 (rainbow). Sample 3: Badcattoo mini kitten (MC); 75% merino, 25% nylon; 400m/437yd per 100g. Wolverhalen Enkeltje Sock (CC); 75% merino, 25% nylon; 425m/465yd per 100g. Yardage: MC 85m/93yd, 20g in colorway dark purple. CC 85m/93yd, 20g in colorway red variegated (OOAK). **Gauge** 21 stitches and 16 rows in Tss = 10 cm/4” measured after blocking in the increase section of the shawl. The slant created in this shawl causes the gauge to vary between the two sections. Obtaining gauge is not crucial for this design, as long as you’re happy with the drape of the fabric.
