Does this mean I’m growing up? Perhaps. Or maybe it just means I’m embracing a new kind of beauty. Muted Era is a mosaic-knit shawl that celebrates the quiet strength of subtle color. Inspired by tiled patterns, its geometry shines even in the softest shades, creating a piece that’s both modern and timeless. Worked top down, the shawl is approachable and relaxing to knit, with simple slipped-stitch mosaic techniques that let the yarn do the talking. Choose colors that whisper rather than shout—stone, fog, dusk, clay—or let your own palette tell the story of your era. Fully written row-by-row as well as charted instructions are provided so you can choose which you prefer to work from. **Yarn:** [Jems Luxe Fibers Yak][1] (65% Superwash Merino/20% silk, 15% Yak 438yards/100grams) Color One (C1): Gypsum - 438 yards (gray) Color Two (C2): Sapphire – 438 yards (blue) **Please note: Gauge can be tricky! A few testers have run short on yarn when their gauge was slightly off—likely from longer floats in the mosaic section—or when using a different yarn. This design uses nearly all 438 yards of both colors, so if you’re concerned about yardage, you may want to pick up an extra skein just in case.** **Needles:** US 4/3.5mm Circular Needles and one US 6/4mm needle for bind off **Notions:** Stitch Markers, T-pins and blocking wires for blocking **Gauge:** 24 sts = 4” in mosaic pattern & 22 sts in stockinette pattern after blocking.
