PinkTOEber Socks

**DESCRIPTION:** October is the month for knitting pink projects to raise awareness for the early detection and treatment of breast cancer. PinkTOEber is when we knit pink socks for this important cause. This top-down design features a feminine colorwork band of butterflies and awareness ribbons on the leg, and another cute little touch of colorwork before the rounded toe. This charted design is written for four widths, so there's a perfect size for anyone who would like to spread the pink word! This design started out as a personal project for an October Pink Knitting Challenge. Once I got the first leg done, I thought it was so cute that it needed to be published - and quickly so that it could generate some fundraising cash. Kudos to Test Knitter Extraordinaire [MargiBorck](person) for jumping in to test the pattern in record time! You can also find the video tutorials by [Clicking Here.][1] **SIZING:** Four widths shown as: Narrow (Medium, Wide, X-Wide) * Narrow Width: 6 - 7.5 inch circumference at ball of foot * Medium Width: 7.5 - 8.5 inch circumference at ball of foot * Wide Width: 8.5 - 9.5 inch circumference at ball of foot * X-Wide Width: 9.5 - 11 inch circumference at ball of foot * Foot length is determined by knitter. **LEG HEIGHT:** Approximately 3.5 inches from the top of the heel gusset to the top of the ribbing. **YARN REQUIREMENTS**: Two colors of fingering weight yarn needed. The sample used Knit Picks Stroll in the following colors: MC: Dogwood Heather (light pink): Approximately 50 (55, 60, 65) g; 230 (250, 275, 300) yards CC: Pucker (medium bright pink): Approximately 12 (14, 15, 16) g; 55 (60, 70, 75) yards **GAUGE:** 36 sts = 4” in Colorwork Stockinette Stitch **NEEDLES:** US Size 1, or as needed for gauge, in your circular method of choice. **ACCESSORIES NEEDED:** Standard knitting tools, stitch markers, and a darning needle to weave in ends.
