Pura Vida Blanket

This is my 'Pura Vida’ blanket which will be a 6 week crochet-along (CAL) starting on 10th October 2025. This blanket is inspired by the Costa Rican greeting ‘Pura Vida’. Living the “Pura Vida” lifestyle! Simply translated, ‘Pura Vida’ means "pure life" in Spanish. Just like ‘Hakuna Matata’ from The Lion King, ‘Pura Vida’ is the Costa Rican version of that laid-back, everything’s cool philosophy! Using 4ply weight cotton yarn the blanket measures approximately 85cm x 110cm (33.5in x 43.5in). Using an Aran weight yarn the blanket measures approximately 130cm x 185cm (51in x 73in).
