No code needed Named after a now uninhabited island off the coast of Sligo that I can see on clear days when walking on the beach, INISHMURRAY is a symmetrical triangular shawl knitted top down. I wanted to treat myself to a fairly traditional looking shawl that is quite simple yet fun and engaging to knit. I find that a traditional triangular shawl is probably the most versatile shape for everyday wear, whether it is used as a cozy wrap on chilly spring or autumn morning, lap blanket in front of the fire or a scarf on cold and windy winter walks. The shawl is started with a garter tab cast on and then it proceeds with even increases along the center spine and the sides to create its shape. It features sections of very simple lace and garter stitch stripes and is finished with a garter stitch scalloped border. This pattern has an additional file that contains only charts. **YARN:** **Sample 1:** Linnen 4 ply from Woollentwine Fiber Co (75% BFL, 25% unbleached linen), 100 g – 350 meters / 383 yards MC – Almond, CC – Cedar **Sample 2:** Handspun 2-ply heavy sport / DK weight. 100 g – approx. 250 meters / 275 yards.
