Triskelion Celtic Coaster 1

If you love Celtic designs you will enjoy making this. There are two versions for this basic design that create coasters of the same size. This version is made for Double Knitting weight yarn. There is another version for Worsted/Aran weight yarn. [Triskelion Celtic Coaster 2][1]. The pattern makes a coaster incorporating a Celtic Triskelion design. It uses the back loop but help is given in recognising this. Otherwise it is the final construction of the coaster that is trickier that the actual crochet. There are pictures to illustrate the different stages of this. Unusually for my patterns tension is fairly critical as straying from the recommended tension will result in a coaster that is too big or too small. It is designed to be made in 100% cotton yarn and it works out better, in my opinion, in a yarn that is not mercerised. It requires a small amount of two different colour yarns.
