The center is worked lengthwise in rows with a ruffle worked around the edges in the round without breaking your yarn. Only two ends to weave in! The sample scarf was made with 320 yards of DK weight yarn/#3 with a size H/5mm crochet hook and measured 40.5" long x 6.5" wide (including ruffle). You can make the center as wide, narrow, or long as desired. Make it with any weight of yarn by changing the hook size to suit the yarn. The amount of yarn you have will determine the finished size of your scarf. You could also work the ruffle in another color of yarn, if desired.
