Pamina cardigan

*The Pamina cardigan has a laid-back silhouette and is worked in a timeless cable-rib pattern.* The boxy body is nicely balanced by the round collar and classic button band all together in a very simple and atemporal combination of cable and rib pattern stitch. The saddle shoulders are complemented by the round neck closure, providing harmony in the piece and a flattering fit with an emphasis on the details. The sleeves are wide, but they are somewhat shaped with some decreases, becoming narrower at the cuffs. The cardigan is worked from the top down. The model in the picture is 169 cm / 5´75” tall and wears a Size 2. **LEVEL** Intermediate (2/3) **YARN** 8 (9, 9, 9, 10) (10, 10, 11) skeins of Loch Lomond by BC garn (50 g = 150 m / 164 yds) (100% organic wool). The cardigan is knitted by holding one strand of yarn. For the sample, we used Loch Lomond in colourway “29”. **NEEDLES** 4 mm / US 6 circular needle, cable length 80 or 100 cm / 32 or 40” for the main body and cable length 40 or 60 cm / 16 or 24” for the sleeves. 3 mm / US 2.5 circular needle, cable length 40 or 60 cm / 16 or 24” for the ribbing. **GAUGE** After blocking: 25 sts x 33 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” on 4 mm / US 6 needle in pattern stitch worked flat. **SIZES** 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8) This cardigan is designed to have an oversized fit and is intended to be worn with approximately 25–32 cm / 9.75–12.5” of positive ease at bust. Finished bust circumference: 105 (115.5, 121, 127.5, 131.5) (139.5, 151.5, 159.5) cm / 41.25 (45.5, 47.75, 50.25, 51.75) (55, 59.75, 62.75)”.
