A sense of satisfaction at your accomplishment is guaranteed! The Ballet cardigan is intentionally oversized, designed to create a light, fluffy layer that floats over your outfit. The cropped length makes it ideal for pairing with dresses or tucking into the waistband of jeans. The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down. First, cast on stitches for the neck, then divide them for the fronts, back, and sleeves, and work the yoke. The yoke is shaped with raglan and neckline increases until the sleeves are separated from the body. Next, work the body to the hem, then knit the sleeves. First, measure your own bust (or your widest upper body part). Then, add 15-20 cm / 6-8” to your bust circumference. You can also measure your favourite mohair cardigan. Compare that number to the finished measurements (above) and choose the closest size. Black: 220 (250) 270 (310) 340 (360) g of Novita Hehku (60 % mohair, 40 % wool - 125 m / 137 yds / 50 g), colour black (0901). Needles: 4.5 mm (US7) and 5.5 mm (US9) long circular needles and DPNs for sleeves if you don’t use the magic loop technique. Notions: 8 stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle, 4-5 buttons (diametre 2.5 cm / 1”), elastic yarn (optional).
