The Naiad Shorts are a lightweight pair of ruffle shorts with an elegant drape and feminine frill. Designed to be both opaque and breezy, they’re perfect for summer days or layered styling. The length is easily adjustable to suit different body types and comfort levels. These shorts are worked seamlessly in the round. You’ll begin with ribbing for the waistband, add German short rows for shaping, and then increase while working purl rows that set up the ruffles. The shorts are divided into legs, worked in the round, and finished with ruffles picked up along the purl ridges. Each ruffle ends with a delicate scalloped edge. Size Options 8 sizes available: waist 18–38 in (46–97 cm), hips 28–49 in (70–122 cm). Recommended ease: 4–6 in (10–15 cm) negative ease. Gauge 22 stitches × 32 rows = 4 in / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, blocked. Be sure to block your swatch to ensure accurate fit.
