Garden Time

Garden Time is a perfect project for that single skein of fingering yarn you love! Pattern features alternating sections of Frame, Trellis, and Rose patterns and is finished with a Rose Border and picot bind off. This right triangular shaped shawlette is worked from the widest point to the narrowest point, then cast-on sts are picked up and worked for border. Depth of border is modifiable depending on available yardage. Pattern includes written and charted instructions. Blocking is essential to demonstrate pattern design. Difficulty/Skills Required: Intermediate. Long tail cast on, Knitted CO, Knit, Purl, K2TOG, Knot st, SKP, YO, Picot BO, Blocking, Weaving in ends. Yarn Weight: Fingering, Light Fingering, Sock. Notions: Tapestry needle, Gauge ruler, Blocking Wires, Blocking Pins, Blocking mat. Gauge: Stockinette: 18 sts and 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm. Gauge isn’t crucial, as it's a shawlette, but alternate gauge may affect the finished size. Suggested Yarns: Loop Linden (80% Superwash Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon; 435 yds / 398 m per 100 g / 3.53 oz skein).
