The back is knit flat to the underarms, beginning with Mosaic Ribbing before working the main stitch pattern. Stitches are picked up from the shoulders for the front and worked back and forth before joining front and back under the arms. Smaller sizes decrease under the arms, while larger size increase at the armholes before joining in the round. The body is then knit in the round to the hem, and stitches are picked up around the armholes to knit edging.
