Mdays Scarf

The Mdays Scarf is a lightweight accessory worked flat, combining basic crochet and knitting stitches. It begins with a few long crochet rows that shape a soft, skinny scarf with gently rounded edges at both ends. A delicate crochet framing round is then worked all the way around the scarf, outlining its shape. Stitches are picked up along the longest edge to finish with a frilled knitted edging—garter on one side and subtle ribbing on the other—designed to twist gently, showing the different textures. Each Mdays Scarf tells its own story through fiber and color. **Size:** 1 (2) **Measurements:** Approx. 112 - 146 cm / 44 - 57.5" long x 9 - 10.5 cm / 3.5 - 4.25" wide, including frilled edge. Length is measured along the curved neck edge. Width varies by yarn weight and number of frilled edge rows. **Yarn:** For MC you can use Fingering OR DK weight yarn. For the CC Frill edging use Fingering weight yarn. MC: Fingering Weight yarn (approx. 100 g = 385 m /420 yds); 37 - 40 g (143 - 154 m / 156 -168 yds). MC: DK Weight (approx. 25 g = 112 m / 122 yds); 35 - 40 g (157 - 180 m / 171 - 196 yds). CC: 21 - 30 g (81 - 116 m / 89 - 126 yds). **Crochet Gauge:** Fingering Weight: 20.5 sts x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4") in DC (BLO), after blocking. DK Weight: 19 sts x 9 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4") in DC (BLO), after blocking. **Knit Gauge:** 25 sts x 46 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4") in garter stitch after blocking. **Hook & Needles:** Crochet hook: 3.25 mm / US D/3, or size to obtain gauge.
