도안 상세 설명 구글번역기로 번역하기
**Inspired by the seamless coverage of Walker satellite constellations, the Walker Star Socks feature a dotted stockinette motif that flows continuously from toe to cuff. **
This toe-up design uses a hidden sole gusset to guide the pattern neatly along the sides of the foot, followed by a German short row heel turn and a reinforced heel flap. The motif continues up the leg and ends with a 2x2 ribbed cuff. Instructions are included for both a stretchy bind-off and a folded cuff with a grafted finish.
This pattern has been test knit and professionally tech edited.

# **Gauge **
36 sts × 44 rows in 10 cm / 4''
# **Techniques**
* Judy's Magic Cast on
* German Short rows
* Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind off / Kitchener Stitch
## Charts
The sock is fully charted, with accompanying written instructions.
A compact chart guides the placement of the motif along the side of the foot as the hidden gusset is worked. This approach lets you begin the gusset at any row of the chart, making it easy to adjust the length and achieve a precise fit.
## **Difficulty Level **
This pattern is intended for intermediate knitters:
* While only basic stitches are used,
knitters should be ready to knit from
charts in a slightly unusual way.
Context clues are given to help
understand its algorithmic approach.
* Familiarity with German Short Rows is
recommended.
* Links to video tutorials
are provided for the cast-on,
bind-off, short rows, and grafting
techniques.
## **Sizing**
These socks are designed with wide feet in mind and sport two extra stitches (~0.5 cm / 1/4 inch) in the foot compared to the leg.
Choose the size closest to your widest feature, aiming for 10% of negative ease in width.
The foot and leg lengths are adjustable. For foot length, aim for 0–10% negative ease depending on fit preference.
**Size 1**
- Foot: 54 sts → 15 cm (6")
- Leg: 52 sts → 14.4 cm (5 3/4")
**Size 2**
- Foot: 62 sts → 17.2 cm (6 7/8")
- Leg: 60 sts → 16.7 cm (6 5/8")
**Size 3**
- Foot: 70 sts → 19.4 cm (7 3/4")
- Leg: 68 sts → 18.9 cm (7 1/2")
**Size 4**
- Foot: 78 sts → 21.7 cm (8 5/8")
- Leg: 76 sts → 21.1 cm (8 1/2")
## **Materials**
100 g / 400 m (approx.) of fingering weight sock yarn is sufficient for all sizes.
Choose a solid or tonal yarn with good stitch definition to highlight the motif; heavily variegated yarns may obscure the pattern.
Consider splitting your yarn into two, or ensure that the first sock uses no more than half.
## **Needles**
The pattern is written to be needle-agnostic. Use your preferred method to knit small circumferences.
If you choose to use small circulars, you'll need an alternate method to work the cast-on and early shaping.
* **2.25 mm / US 1** needles for the sock body or the needle size needed to achieve gauge.
* Use needles 1 to 2 sizes smaller for the cuff.
## **Notions**
* Tapestry needle
* Stitch markers
* If knitting the folded cuff, an additional set of needles (any size up to the gauge needle size)
