Djembe Bag

I am always looking for ways to use basic "known" stitches in a way that creates an item that is as interesting visually as it is functional. My Djembe Bag design will definitely inspire you to create more than one using yarn colors and remnants that you never quite considered combining before. This bag is the result of my committed effort to use my wool yarn remnants that have been saved over the years. I never knew just what I wanted them for until this idea came to mind. One of the exciting things about this design is that you can follow the pattern as written, with color changes specified, or create your own colorful and unique piece by changing yarn colors as you envision. **Materials:** * Wool remnants * Measuring tape * 5.0 and 5.5 mm crochet hooks * Stitch markers * Scissors * Tapestry needle * 2 purse rings * Adjustable (repurposed) handle strap * Magnetic purse closure *Feel free to use absolutely ANY yarn that you would like to work with in a worsted weight including cottons and acrylics (if desired), but keep in mind that acrylics tend to stretch and may need additional bag lining for support. * **Skill Level:** Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Included in this pattern are very detailed written directions with helpful video links. The pattern directions include two options for the bag base; circular or rectangular. This pattern has been vigorously reviewed for errors and is currently in testing. If you find any inaccuracies, please do not hesitate to reach out to me so I can review and make any adjustments as needed. Due to the nature of this project, exact yarn amounts for colors used can vary from person to person. You will need approximately 350 yards in one colorway for the main color and small amounts of yarn in 4 additional contrasting colorways.
