**FRAGRANT CLOUD** is a lightweight scarf, designed to be worn in a gracious bow around the neck, or simply tied for the short version. **SIZES** Long (short) version, customizable **FINISHED DIMENSIONS Total length:** 181 cm / 72.5”– long version, (136 cm / 54.5”– short version) **Center band width:** 14 cm / 5.5” **Width at ends:** 29 cm / 11.5” *Dimensions include 0.5 cm / 0.2” border on all sides.* **Note about length** The samples are worn on a 32 cm / 12.75” neck. Length of the striped center band can be customized to accommodate a different neck circumference. **MATERIALS** **Yarn** mYak Baby Yak Lace (100% Yak, 383 yds / 350 m –50 g) **C1:** 1 skein - colorway Flamingo – long version, (colorway Ametista – short version) **C2:** 1 skein - colorway Dusty Rose – long version, (colorway Sweet Kiss – short version) or **C1:** 330 yards / 302 m, (210 yards / 192 m) **C2:** 330 yards / 302 m, (210 yards / 192 m) of lace weight yarn. *Please note that yardage is an estimate that can vary due to yarn nature, knitting style and size customization.* **Needles** 24” / 60 cm US1½ / 2.5 mm circular needle (or straight needles if preferred) – or size to obtain gauge/desired fabric. **GAUGE** 30 sts x 52 rows to 4” / 10 cm in Garter Stitch, after blocking. *Gauge doesn’t need to be spot on as long as you like the knitted fabric obtained with your chosen needle size.* **CONSTRUCTION** The scarf is worked flat in simple garter stitch in two colors. Each wider panel is worked in a single color, transitioning with stripes throughout the center narrower section. An applied i-cord provides a neat finished edge. You can opt for low contrast subtle hues or go bold, but Fragrant Cloud will also look good in a single color.
