Driftwind cardigan

This cardigan is made to measure, making it size inclusive from toddlers to grown ups in any size. You will be working with your own measurements, so you can make it with any yarn and suitable hook and can achieve the ease you desire. As an example for my size Medium version I used 400g of 4ply yarn (size 2) yarn and 4mm crochet hook. The DK version in the same size used 530g of yarn and the Super chunky version about 900g. This pattern has been tested using size 2 (4ply), size 3 (DK) and size 4 (aran/worsted) and size 6 (super chunky/bulky) weight yarn, please use a suitable hook for your yarn type. It is created hexi-style, starting with one panel, you will work in the round from the armpit, radiating outwards to form one arm and one side of the body. Next, you will create the sleeve by closing the top of your panel. You can then add more rounds to increase the width and the height of the body, without making the sleeves any wider. After that you can add additional rows to make your sleeves longer. Repeat this process for the second panel and finally, you will join both panels at the back and add the border to your cardigan. The level set for this pattern is intermediate due to the seamless joining of the sleeves and body, however, I have included step by step photos and video clips to show every step, so that beginners could also make this design.
