Hexi Blooms Blanket

As I am sure you know by now, I love hand-dyed yarn. So much so that at the end of 2024 I decided that I was going to try and dye my own. We were deep in the testing and preparation of releasing Opal Hunting, and I needed something that I could do to relax my mind a little bit at the time. Once I had a few colours that I could co-ordinate together happily Idecided that I needed to make something out of them. All otherdesigns, patterns and ideas were set aside, and I got to work on this blanket. Made up of 137 Hexi’s to get the flower effect (For the 4 ply version), finding a join that I liked and then going about my business making it all. The joy of starting and completing a Hexi in a matter of minutes and seeing how each one turns out different but similar was so much fun. Once you have made a few Hexi’s it will quickly become a favourite for watching Netflix, travelling in the car, bus or train. I can’t wait to see what combination you come up with.
