Rose Window Coaster

This pattern was inspired by the appearance of stained glass rose windows. It is a pattern for a thick coaster in DK (light worsted ) cotton yarn that comes out about 4ins (20cm) and also a similar sized coaster in worsted (Aran) cotton yarn as shown in the photograph. It only uses a small amount of yarn so could make a good stash buster. Black or white yarn is recommended for the overlay stitches but any colours could be used for the other parts. It includes at different times working into front loops or back loops or back and third loops and one place needs back post stitches. You will also have two yarns attached simultaneously for part of the time. Therefore it is recommend for more experienced crocheters.
