BELATRIX Mosaic Blanket

Introducing BELATRIX. This is an Overlay Mosaic Crochet pattern worked together with Tapestry Crochet to create beautiful projects that can be worked in multiple ways. * Blankets from Pram/Stroller size through to Superking (or bigger!) * Table Runners or Rugs (suggest cotton yarn for these) The pattern is worked from the bottom up with the pattern side (right side) of your work facing you at all times, and working one row at a time from right to left. Traditionally in Overlay Crochet two colours are used, a background colour and a pattern colour. You work with one colour at a time, cutting yarn at the end of each row, alternating colours each row. The cut ends are most commonly hidden between layers in an envelope border. Yarn I used in this project to create my Belatrix Blanket: Yarn used in this project: ICE YARNS Baby Merino. 200m / 50g. This is a Sport Weight (2) yarn . • Main Colour: White – 2520m • Contrast Colour: Grey – 1900m • Tapestry Colours: Gold, Yellow, Green, Light Blue, Pink, Purple: 30 metres of each. Yellow and Gold used and additional 200m each for the border. This yarn is 40% Merino, 40% Acrylic, 20% Polyamide, and can be found at: https://www.iceyarns.net/git/1328/baby_merino Hook sizes, 4.0mm (G) and 5.00 mm (H) My completed blanket, including the envelope border measures 138cm x 208cm / 54" x 82" Guidance is given on different sizes, their measurements and approximate yarn requirements in the pattern.
