Weight/Length: 50 gm= Approx. 140m) **Amount of yarn used:** Drops Nepal: 600 (650, 650-700, 700-750, 750-800, 800-850, 850-900) gms Drops Alpaca Boucle: 300 (300-350, 350, 350-400, 400, 400-450, 450) gms **Extras:** 2 buttons (35 mm) **Gauge/Tension (Blocked):** 14 sts x 20 rows/rounds in stockinette stitch with Nepal and Alpaca Boucle held together on 5.5 mm / US 9 needles = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4 inches x 4 inches (Take your time to get correct stitch AND row/round gauge. You might change needles size to get the correct gauge) **Difficulty level:** Intermediate Polar Coat is knitted top down, starting with the back yoke which is worked back and forth (while shaping with short rows). After that sts are picked up across the shoulders to form the front yoke, then the rest of the body is worked back and forth till it’s finished. Sts for sleeves are then picked up, sleeve cap is shaped by short rows, then continued in the round. Sts for the collar are then picked up, worked back and forth (while shaping with short rows). Finally, an applied icord is worked across the front edges and the collar edge. Coat has approx. 21-25 cm / 8.2-9.8 inches of intended positive ease at the bust area. The sizes XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL) are designed to fit a chest circumference of 80-85 (85-90, 90-95, 95-100, 100-110, 110-120, 120-130) cm/ 31.5-33.4 (33.4-35.4, 35.4-37.4, 37.4-39.4, 39.4-43.2, 43.2-47.2, 47.2-51.2) inches. **Please note that:** 1- Any change in gauge or switching to yarn of different composition might not give you the same finished measurements or finished look. 2- The pattern is only available in English, and it is not guaranteed that the pattern would be clear if it was translated using translating applications or Google! 3-The coat is knitted with 2 threads of Aran weight yarn on 5.5 mm / US 9 needles to achieve a tight weave and reduce drape. 4- It’s a bit challenging to work with Boucle yarn due to its loopy nature (needle tips might get caught into the loops, hard to count stitches / rows) , so it is advised to have quite some experience with this kind of yarn before beginning this project
