This pattern is written using US crochet terms - US to UK conversion chart available on last page. Pattern is a 6-row repeat. Pattern is colour coded - with instructions for children’s size in RED and adult’s size in BLACK Beginning chain can be made as foundation dc row, or as a traditional chain, with dc’s added to chain once stitch count has been reached. Chains at the beginning of the row do not count as a stitch unless otherwise noted. Adjustments can be made to final size by either increasing or reducing the number of stitches in the foundation chain - however, ensure that the final chain ends with an odd number of stitches, or pattern repeats may not work as stated. The finished cowl in dk / light worsted / 8 ply weight, measures approximately 33 inches long by 8.5 inches wide for children, and 25 inches long by 8.5 inches wide for adults.
