**MIMI SWEATER** is a roomy sweater with distinctive color blocks. The wide color blocks are separated by elegant dotted lines which are also worked along the shoulders, armholes, and neckline. The dotted lines are worked in a straightforward slipped stitch pattern – what looks like a stranded pattern is knitted with one color at a time. MIMI SWEATER is worked seamlessly from the top down. First, stitches are cast on for the shoulders which are worked back and forth to the bottom of the armholes. Back and front sections are then joined to form the body which is worked in the round. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up and finished with a cuff in twisted rib. Short rows are worked on both front section, back sections and sleeves to create a good fit. **Sizes** Sizes: 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 (6) 7 (8) Bust circumference: 111 (116) 120 (127) 133 (138) 147 (158) cm Length: 58 (59) 59 (60) 60 (61) 61 (62) cm Sleeve length 1: 44 cm Sleeve length 2: 47 cm Sleeve length 3: 51 cm Sleeve length 4: 54 cm How much positive ease you like in your clothes varies from person to person. Measuring some of your favorite sweaters can help you choose the perfect size. The length of the sleeves depends on your height and how much positive ease you choose for your sweater. A rule of thumb is that the bigger the positive ease is, the shorter the sleeves ought to be. This is also the case with the sweaters shown in the pictures in the pattern. The positive ease and sleeve length of my versions of the MIMI SWEATER are as follows: Version 1: 44 cm positive ease and sleeve length 3. Version 2: 33 cm positive ease and sleeve length 3. Version 3: 55 cm positive ease and sleeve length 1. **Needles** Circular needles 4 mm (40 and 80/120 cm) 5 mm (40 and 80/120 cm) **Gauge** 18 sts × 24 rows in stockinette stitch on a 5 mm needle = 10 × 10 cm The yarns which I used for the MIMI SWEATER tend to stretch after washing. My gauge before washing was 19 stitches and after washing the stated 18 stitches. **Materials** *Version 1* Color A: 150 (150) 200 (200) 200 (200) 200 (200) g Woolia by Gepard in color 599 (100 % organic merino wool; 133 m/50 g) 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (50) g Cashmere Lace by Gepard in color 599 (100 % cashmere; 330 m/25 g) – one strand of each yarn are held together throughout Color B: 150 (150) 150 (150) 150 (150) 150 (150) g Woolia by Gepard in color 732 (100 % organic merino wool; 133 m/50 g) 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (50) g of Kid Seta by Gepard in color 730 (70 % kid mohair, 30 % silk; 210 m/25 g) – one strand of each yarn are held together throughout Color C: 150 (150) 150 (150) 150 (150) 150 (150) g Woolia by Gepard in color 480 (100 % organic merino wool; 133 m/50 g) 25 (25) 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (50) g Cashmere Lace by Gepard in color 477 (100 % cashmere; 330 m/25 g) – one strand of each yarn are held together throughout Color D: 150 (150) 150 (150) 150 (150) 150 (150) g Woolia by Gepard in color 113 (100 % organic merino wool; 133 m/50 g) 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (50) g Kid Seta Tweed by Gepard in color 122 (70 % kid mohair, 30 % silk; 210 m/25 g) – one strand of each yarn are held together throughout Color E: 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (50) 100 (100) g Puno by Gepard in color 101 (68 % baby alpaca, 10 % merino wool, 22 % polyamide; 110 m/50 g) *Version 2* Color A and color C (in total): 300 (300) 300 (300) 300 (300) 350 (350) g Woolia by Gepard in color 102 (100 % organic merino wool; 133 m/50 g) 50 (50) 50 (75) 75 (75) 75 (75) g Cashmere Lace by Gepard in color 463 (100 % cashmere; 330 m/25 g) – one strand of each yarn are held together throughout Color B and color D (in total): 200 (200) 200 (200) 200 (200) 250 (250) g Woolia by Gepard in color 164 (100 % organic merino wool; 133 m/50 g) 50 (50) 50 (50) 75 (75) 75 (75) g Kid Seta by Gepard in color 1007 (70 % kid mohair, 30 % silk; 210 m/25 g) – one strand of each yarn are held together throughout Color E: 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (50) 100 (100) g Puno by Gepard in color 734 (68 % baby alpaca, 10 % merino wool, 22 % polyamide; 110 m/50 g) *Version 3* Color A and color C (in total): 300 (300) 300 (300) 300 (300) 350 (350) g Woolia by Gepard in color 1420 (100 % organic merino wool; 133 m/50 g) 50 (50) 50 (75) 75 (75) 75 (75) g Cashmere Lace by Gepard in color 143 (100 % cashmere; 330 m/25 g) – one strand of each yarn are held together throughout Color B and color D (in total): 200 (200) 200 (200) 200 (200) 250 (250) g Woolia by Gepard in color 828 (100 % organic merino wool; 133 m/50 g) 50 (50) 50 (50) 75 (75) 75 (75) g Kid Seta by Gepard in color 836 (70 % kid mohair, 30 % silk; 210 m/25 g) – one strand of each yarn are held together throughout Color E: 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (50) 100 (100) g Puno by Gepard in color 101 (68 % baby alpaca, 10 % merino wool, 22 % polyamide; 110 m/50 g) *Yarn substitutes* Colors A, B, C, and D: Jensen Yarn held together with Silk Mohair by Isager Peruvian by Filcolana Pernilla held together with Tilia by Filcolana Color E: Isager Soft Snefnug by CaMaRose Fluffy Alpaca by Walløe > Knitting support Please write to > support@anneventzel.com if you need > knitting support.
