Bandana Mulegé

(English below) La bandana Mulegé lleva el nombre del lugar donde fue diseñada y tejida, un pueblo en Baja California Sur (México) con un playa preciosa cerca del faro. Esta bandana, o cinta para el pelo, es un complemento muy versátil para el verano, y podrás tejer la versión que más te apetezca, rayas o colorblock, o las dos! La bandana Mulegé se teje de ida y vuelta y de un extremo a otro. Se comienza montando una serie de puntos para después tejer una de las tiras de la bandana; cuando tengas el largo indicado, aumentarás puntos hasta tener el ancho de la bandana y tejerás el cuerpo de la misma, para después disminuir y tejer la otra tira de la bandana. **Técnicas utilizadas** Para poder tejer la bandana Mulegé tendrás que saber montar y cerrar puntos, tejer del derecho, deslizar puntos, hacer aumentos y disminuciones. **Agujas recomendadas** Agujas circulares de 3 mm (US 2 ½) con un cable de, al menos, 40 cm. También puedes usar agujas rectas, al ser un tejido de ida y vuelta. **Lana** Lana grosor fingering (400/ 425 m en 100 gr). Este es un proyecto ideal para poder utilizar restos de lana de otros proyectos. Necesitarás aproximadamente 20 gr de lana (o cualquier otra fibra que elijas) en total para crear tu bandana; la cantidad de lana utilizada dependerá de la versión que elijas tejer. **Muestra de tensión** La muestra de tensión es totalmente irrelevante en este diseño. En mi caso, son 14 puntos y 21 vueltas en un cuadrado de 5 x 5 cm, tejido en plano con agujas de 3 mm y en punto bobo, antes del bloqueo. **Tallas** La bandana Mulegé es talla única, aunque es fácilmente adaptable si la quieres hacer más larga o más corta, más ancha o más estrecha. **Medidas** La bandana que se muestra en la portada mide 65 cm de largo por 7 cm de ancho. **English** The Mulegé headband is named after the place where it was designed and knitted- a town in Baja California Sur (Mexico) with a beautiful beach near the lighthouse-. This headband is a very versatile accessory for summer and you can knit whichever version you prefer, colorblock or stripes, or both!! The Mulegé headband is knitted back and forth, from one end to the other. You start by casting on a number of stitches to knit one of the headband’s ties. Once you've reached the indicated length, you’ll increase stitches until you have the full width of the headband and then knit the main body. After that, you’ll decrease stitches and knit the second tie. **Skills required** Pattern requires the following skills: knit, cast on and bind off stitches, slip stitches and make increases and decreases. **Recommended needles** US 2 ½ (3 mm) circular needles; you can use either at least 40 cm long, or straight needles, if that’s your choice. **Yarn** Fingering weight yarn (400/425 m in 100 gr). This is an ideal proyect for using leftover yarn. You will need approximately 20 grams of yarn (or any other fiber of your choice) in total to make your headband. The amount of yarn used will depend on the version you choose to knit. **Gauge** Gauge is completely irrelevant in this pattern. 14 stitches and 21 rows, in garter stitch, over 2 inches, on US 2 1/2 needles, knitting flat, before blocking. **Sizes** , The Mulegé headband is one size, but it’s easily adjustable if you want to knit it longer or shorter, wider or narrower. **Dimensions** The headband in the cover measures 25 ½ inches (65 cm) long and 2 ¾ inches (7 cm) wide.
