Book Dragon Scarf

The Book Dragon Scarf is based on the sprayed edge dragon silhouette artwork from the Fourth Wing book series. It is worked using two colours of yarn in the double knitting method. It is assumed that you know double knitting basics. This results in a thick and reversible scarf. Pattern includes charts and alternate charts for the golden feathertail dragon Andarna (Gold Wing) as a feature of the middle dragon. I've used a tripled yarn by continuous looping rayon/viscose blend yarn from Temu that has a band with Lamb Baby on it. This scarf used approx. 185gm of each of the MC and CC which means you'll need two of each MC and CC and a small amount of the third colour if you decide to add the Gold Wing feature. Any double knitting weight yarn would do fine though. I've used 2.5mm circular needles in the pictured sample but you could use 2.0mm needles to obtain a tighter weave if desired. Finished product would be smaller accordingly. Cast on as per picture is using a two colour long tail cast on but any double knitting cast on method would be suitable. Bind off as per is a backwards bind off method where you knit an extra row and work the bind off from the wrong/non-tail end. Any double knitting bind off method would be suitable.
