Blank Canvas Cowl

I designed the Blank Canvas Cowl with the idea of combining beauty, functionality and individuality. The double layer of even moss stitch helps practically to keep in layers of warmth, and makes this cowl a beginner-friendly piece (though the design section will add plenty to keep more advanced crocheters interested!). It also provided me with a blank canvas – you can customise your design to be uniquely yours. Work the ribs of colour to different heights; create elegant curves or staccato lengths; cluster your lines together or space them evenly across; choose a set colour palate or mix them up entirely. The choice is yours! You can also work both sides of the cowl or just the one, making it a reversible design. And best of all, there’s no need to weave in all those ends because they’ll be hidden inside! You can simply knot to secure. It’s a simple yet satisfying make, one that will start to feel like your very own piece of art as you work your chosen design.
