When waves begin to enter shallow water, they slow down, get larger and closer together. This is called shoaling. The directional bands in the legs of these socks were inspired by waves rolling into shore and then receding back out to sea. SIZES 1 (2, 3) **Recommended ease:** 0–0.25" / 0–0.5 cm of negative ease. FINISHED MEASUREMENTS **Foot Circumference:** 7 (8, 9)" / 18 (20.5, 23) cm. **Foot Length:** Adjustable, approx. 9 (10, 11)" / 23 (25.5, 28) cm. MATERIALS **Yarn:** American Fiber Sock by Mitchell Wool Co. (75% non-superwash American Rambouillet wool, 25% Tencel, 200 yds / 183 m – 50 g). MC: 2 skeins in the colourway Papaya Macaron. CC: 1 skein in the colourway Barn. Or the foll amounts of fingering-weight yarn: MC: 260 (300, 375) yds / 240 (275, 345) m. CC: 60 (70, 80) yds / 55 (65, 75) m. Alternative yarn suggestions are for example Exmoor Sock 4ply by John Arbon Textiles or Rambouillet Fingering by Local Color Farm and Fiber. **Needles:** US 1 / 2.25 mm 9" / 20 cm circular needles and/or US 1 / 2.25 mm 32" / 80 cm circular needles for Magic Loop and toe. **Notions:** Stitch markers, cable needle.   GAUGE 32 sts x 50 rnds to 4" / 10 cm on US 1 / 2.25 mm needles in St St, after blocking.
